The pop-up shop in Fulham Broadway shopping centre which was launched this February by The Society of Fulham Artists & Potters, or SoFAP, is about to undergo a major relaunch.

It will be temporarily closing on 13 April for a rehang and change over before opening again on Saturday 26 April.

The shop, which was set up in empty premises on the centre’s first floor, sells work by local artists.

You will find original artworks in a curated selection of paintings, drawings, and mixed media pieces as well as ceramics and sculptures including and crafted pottery and three-dimensional art.

Unique, artist-designed greeting cards and other items from local artists are available.

It is open every week Thursdays to Sundays from 1pm to 7pm.

The shop was in collaboration with The Artist’s Window, a charity set up to take advantage of empty retail spaces and allow artists to take over this space for the sale of art, workshops and other events.

Up till the launch of the pop-up , SoFAP’s members have shown off their work at local markets and in exhibitions in Fulham Library, but this is the first time the society has had its own fixed shop.

“We are excited to bring our artists' works to the heart of Fulham Broadway,” said Rowena Vaughan, Chair of SoFAP. “This pop-up gallery allows us to connect with the community in a fresh and accessible way, offering art lovers the chance to appreciate and acquire original pieces in a convenient setting.”

SoFAP has been a not-for-profit organization dedicated to encouraging the practice and exhibition of local artists' work for over seven decades. Membership is open to individuals over 18 who live, work, or study in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and neighbouring areas.

The Society of Fulham Artists was founded in 1952 as a not-for-profit organisation "to encourage the practice and exhibition of the work of local artists in association, and to attract and interest the public in the visual Arts."

Membership is open to anyone over the age of eighteen living, working or studying in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and neighbouring boroughs. You can find out more about joining the society on its web site.
