The Parsons Green Fair is back on Saturday 6 July, and the organisers are calling on local people to help make this year’s event another huge summer success.

They are looking for volunteers to become event marshals, helping to make the hugely popular fair a fun and safe community day out.

The marshals will be required to help out for two-hour shifts during the day, between 9am and 11am; 11am and 1pm; 1pm and 3pm, 3pm and 5pm and finally 5pm and 6.30pm.

Marshals will be expected to assist visitors with event information, help any lost children, pick up rubbish and in the unlikely event of an emergency, evacuate the fair and make sure visitors are all safe.

If you can help you can get in touch by emailing info@parsonsgreenfair.org or calling Nicky Sansom on 07715 493 037.

This year’s fair will once again take over Parson’s Green, offering over 100 independent stalls selling a huge variety of goods from children's clothes to luxury dog food, antiques, kaftans and much more.

Students from local drama and music schools will perform on the main stage throughout the day, and there will be a huge range of attractions for children including donkey rides, magic shows, a circus workshop and a petting zoo.

The organisers add that the amazing variety of food outlets will also be returning, so come hungry!

All proceeds raised on the day will go to Fulham Good Neighbours , a local charity which has supported older and disabled people living in Fulham for almost 60 years.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
