Felicity Kendal Relaunches Fulham Palace Garden Centre

Actress urges local people to support centre's work  for the Prince's Trust

Actress Felicity Kendal CBE has officially relaunched Fulham Palace Garden Centre.

Fulham Palace Garden Centre became part of The Prince’s Trust last year, with all profits from the garden centre going to The Prince’s Trust to help change young lives.

Felicity, who is a Prince's Trust Ambassador, visited the centre in Fulham Palace Road in March, and saw for herself how the Trust helps young people.

She  met Kevin Lawrence, who suffered bullying and depression before getting help from The Prince’s Trust to turn a passion for gardening into a successful business.

The Fulham garden centre raises funds so The Trust can continue its vital work helping disadvantaged young people to move into work, education or training.

Felicity  said: " The Prince’s Trust enables disadvantaged young people in so many ways that allows them to be self-sufficient and turn the corner from poverty or despair to confidence and independence.

"Meeting Kevin today and hearing his story illustrates how The Trust is one of the most important charities in the country and in over 30 years has helped make a difference to thousands of our young people.

"To help the charity continue its vital work, I urge local people to support Fulham Palace Garden Centre."

Chris Webb, Business Manager at The Prince’s Trust Fulham Palace Garden Centre, added: " Now that spring has arrived, we’re seeing many customers keen to get their gardens looking their best. I'd encourage people to pop in to the garden centre and speak to our experts for free advice."

As well as the centre itself being relaunched, Fulham Palace Garden Centre has a newly redesigned website with monthly tips for gardeners and news of upcoming events.

In April, the centre has two events scheduled:
