Fulham Pier will bring Christmas back to the Thames this winter, unveiling a 2026 festive season designed to offer a calmer, more atmospheric alternative to the city’s crowded shopping streets. With less than three months until Christmas, the riverside destination has announced a programme that blends woodland-inspired installations, craft markets, live entertainment and cosy seasonal food and drink — all beginning on 12 November.

This year’s transformation centres on a winter escape shaped by illuminated trees, twinkling pathways and forest-themed décor stretching across the pier. The intention is to slow the pace: to swap the rush of central London for mulled rosé, seasonal cocktails, sweet treats and a wander through stalls run by local makers. Families will find interactive experiences and a full calendar of performances set against the Thames, while the pier’s restaurants and bars introduce festive menus and winter specials.

The season opens with a one-of-a-kind riverside launch and Christmas lights switch-on, inspired by Fulham Pier’s position along its historic rowing route. The event will kick off an opening week of live entertainment and winter surprises, with further details promised later in the autumn.

Across November and December, the programme expands into candlelit opera paired with Aria wines, live jazz, festive comedy and a series of family favourites. Share the Light of Christmas returns as a musical for parents and young children, alongside Santa storytelling sessions and the comeback of last year’s sold-out Snow Ball NYE Family Rave. Santa’s Roller Disco will run both family and adults-only sessions.

Fridays in December will take on an after-dark feel, with live bands, gospel choirs, DJs and illuminated roaming performers creating a riverside night-time series. Craft workshops — from snow globes to jewellery to premium wreath-making — will run throughout the season. A weekend pop-up gift-wrapping station will feature wrapping paper designed by local schoolchildren, sold in the pier’s giftshop to raise funds for pupils and celebrate young creativity.

Dogs are woven into the festivities too. Fulham Pier, already a popular stop for Thames Path walkers, will host its first Santa Paws, offering treats, seasonal shopping and bespoke illustrated portraits of visiting pups.

Glen Sutton, Director of Fulham Pier, said the aim was to create a place where visitors could enjoy the season at their own pace while still experiencing the excitement that defines Christmas in London. Whether browsing markets, joining family activities or simply spending time by the river, he said, “there will always be something new to discover at Fulham Pier this Christmas.”

Food and drink will be central to the experience. Constance, the Michelin Guide-listed restaurant, unveils its festive menu on 17 November, bringing a contemporary take on Christmas dining and the return of its champagne and caviar trolley. From 10 November, sister venue Flo Bar will serve seasonal cocktails and holiday-inspired small plates.

Visitors seeking a longer retreat can book into Fulham Pier Hotel, while the newly opened Sæl Spa will offer members a restorative escape from the seasonal rush. Lighthouse Social, the pier’s private members’ club, will host supper clubs, masterclasses and a bespoke gifting concierge service.

Fulham Pier’s festive season begins on 12 November with the full programme — including details of the flagship launch event and winter-themed experiences — to be revealed later this autumn.
