Fulham Palace is set to come alive with the sound of jazz, funk and soul this summer as the much-loved Jazz on the Lawn series returns for a weekend of open-air music on 17–18 July.
Presented by Chelsea’s iconic 606 Club, the two-night mini-festival brings some of London’s most exciting musicians to the historic gardens of Fulham Palace, offering audiences the perfect summer soundtrack in one of West London’s most atmospheric outdoor settings.
The weekend kicks off on Friday 17 July with a high-energy performance from The Coalminers, a ten-piece band known for their New Orleans-inspired grooves, deep-south rhythms and irresistible funk. With a three-piece horn section and powerhouse vocalists Tommy Hare and Amy Bird, the group promises a night of foot-stomping, feel-good music. Jazz FM has described them as “riotous uplifting funk bursting at the seams,” and their Fulham Palace set looks ready to deliver exactly that.
On Saturday 18 July, the celebrations continue with the debut Fulham Palace appearance of the 606 Club All Stars, performing as part of the venue’s 50th anniversary year. The ensemble brings together three acclaimed vocalists — Natalie Duncan, Jo Harrop and Polly Gibbons — alongside internationally recognised saxophonists Brandon Allen, Alec Harper and Denys Baptiste. With a full rhythm section behind them, the All Stars promise a soulful, sophisticated evening of top-tier jazz.
Both concerts begin at 7.30pm, with gates opening an hour earlier at 6.30pm, giving audiences time to settle in, enjoy the gardens and soak up the summer atmosphere before the music begins.
Tickets are £25 for adults, £14 for children aged 4–10, and free for under-threes. Families, jazz fans and anyone looking for a relaxed summer evening outdoors are all welcome.
