Chilli Fest is due to return to the gardens of Fulham Palace this Sunday 8 September.

The now annual celebration of the fiery plan is held in partnership with the Fulham Palace Meadows Allotments Association (FPMAA) and the Fulham Horticultural Society (FHS).

Prime specimens will be on display and fresh produce from local allotments will be on sale.

There will be a chance to join the chilli eating competition and sample an array of chilli varieties that will take your taste buds on a wild ride trying chillis from around the world with the chilli tasting passport.

Dr Mark Spencer will be giving a talk all about the fiery chilli plant and you join a salsa dancing demonstration.

You can also test your aim with balloon darts and a tin can alley.

There will be live music from Banda Bomba to listen to as you picnic on the lawns. Food and beverages will be available from the drawing room café and the market food vendors.

There is no charge for the event which runs from 11am to 3pm although a donation is suggested.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
