Concert in June features The Lives and Loves of Monteverdi and Gesualdo
Music by the Bridge, a popular series of free monthly Friday evening concerts featuring talented young and often local musicians, continues this month.
The next concert on Friday 7 June is entitled 'Loving and Dying – the Lives and Loves of Monteverdi and Gesualdo'.
The concert features five-part madrigals by two of Renaissance Italy’s master composers, Claudio Monteverdi and Carlo Gesualdo, performed by the Music Scholars of All Saints Fulham:
Camilla Seale (soprano)
Eleanor Kemp (alto)
Benedict Munden (tenor)
Tom O’Kelly (baritone)
Michael Koenig (harpsichord)
Each Music by the Bridge concert starts at 7.15pm, with doors open from 6.45pm, and lasts for about 45 minutes, so it is a lovely way to start your weekend.
Everyone is welcome and entry is free, with wine and soft drinks available and a retiring collection held to support music
at All Saints.
