Music By the Bridge Continues at All Saints Fulham

Enjoy A Night at The Movies at free concert on Friday

Music by the Bridge, a popular series of free monthly Friday evening concerts featuring talented young and often local musicians, continues this month.

The next concert on Friday 17 May is called A Night at The Movies, featuring Anna Boucher (mezzo-soprano) with the Thomas's Mums' Choir offering music from classic films Cabaret, Oklahoma, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Show Boat.

Anna Boucher studied music at Durham University as a pianist and cellist. She then studied post-graduate vocal studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Rudolf Piernay and the Royal Northern College of Music with Barbara Robotham before embarking on a solo career of opera and recital with many UK touring companies as Bertha (Barber of Seville), Marcellina (Marriage of Figaro), Madame Podtochina (The Nose) and many contemporary operas.

She sang with the Royal Opera House extra chorus, BBC singers and St. Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, as well as being a frequent soloist for oratorio throughout the UK.

She teaches singing at St. Paul’s Girls’ School, works privately as a vocal coach and accompanist and is the founder of the Thomas’s School Mums' Choir, The Roehampton Ladies Choir, as well as a choir in a City Law firm. Anna specialises in after-dinner entertaining with a series of satirical songs about “life”, such as The Tiger Mum and a Tribute to British Airways amongst others.

Anna is the organiser of All Saints' Music by the Bridge concert series.

The Thomas’s Mum’s Choir was founded 7 years ago, has a weekly rehearsal and is open to ladies who love to sing. It is about to be renamed the Fulham Belles, and will perform at the Maggie’s Cancer Carol Concert at All Saints Church on Monday Dec 9 2019. If you are interested in joining, email Anna at anna123.boucher@gmail.com.

Each Music by the Bridge concert starts at 7.15pm, with doors open from 6.45pm, and lasts for about 45 minutes, so it is a lovely way to start your weekend.

Everyone is welcome and entry is free, with wine and soft drinks available and a retiring collection held to support music at All Saints.
