Fulham hit by Major Power Cut

Lights go out in SW6 on Sunday morning

Power was finally fully restored to the area, from Fulham Broadway to the border with Chelsea, just after 11am.

A statement from EdF Energy explains: " Power was initially interrupted to 2,355 customers at 6.40am this morning after a fault on the electricity distribution network.

" Our engineers managed to restore supplies to 1,204 customers in stages between 7.08am and 10.16am and supplies to the remaining customers in Fulham were restored by 11.14am.

"The interruption was caused by a fault on an underground electricity cable."

The statement continues: " We do understand how important electricity is for all our customers and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused."
