Stars Come Out Again at Imperial Wharf


Line-up announced for seventh free jazz festival

The star studded line-up for the seventh Imperial Wharf Jazz Festival has been announced.

The free festival, which has become an annual highlight in Fulham's calendar, is hosted by Imperial Wharf's developer St George and will take place on Thursday 15 and Saturday September 17 in the riverside development's main boulevard.

The two day programme will begin at 6pm on Thursday with the versatility and unique approach of the award wining Saxophonist Soweto Kinch Quartet with the Brit Award nominated Carleen Anderson. The show will run until 10pm

The entertainment will continue on Saturday from 1pm - 10pm. It will open with be the Bombay Baja Brass Band providing a carnival atmosphere and the afternoon sounds will include the multi award winning vocalist and song writer Nina Ferro, with Sonny Black & Friends' blues based band and the the ‘Gypsy Punk’ sound of Mano de Dios.

The Saturday evening will welcome the Indo-Jazz sound from Arun Ghosh Quintet with their contemporary Jazz attitude and the return of the critically acclaimed British Jazz singers Liane Carroll. There will also be a performance from Robin Jones & King Salsa, a 13 piece Latin band driven by a rhythm and brass section, promising to provide a lively atmosphere to end the festival.
