Owner of Fulham Plastic Surgery Clinic Faces Legal Action
Clients of Transform fear personal data compromised in hack

The Transform Hospital Group is facing legal action from clients after it was the victim of a data hack.
The firm which owns 11 clinics including the one in Nightingale House on Fulham High Street is endorsed by celebrities such as Kerry Katona and Joey Essex. However, some of its patients are concerned that the data that was compromised may include before and after photos as well as medical records, email addresses and dates of birth,
The patients have instructed specialist Professional Negligence solicitors Simpson Millar to initiate legal action against the group which specialises in cosmetic and corrective procedures. They are alleging that the breach is extensive and more should have been done to protect their data.
Hundreds of patients are understood to have been affected, and 22 individuals have asked for the matter to be pursued.
Pamila Muzaffar, of Simpson Millar, said while any breach of data was ‘extremely worrying’, on this occasion the nature of the information stolen was particularly sensitive.
She said, “From our experience with these types of cases, the true extent of damage caused by the breach will not be apparent for several months. Many patients will be extremely anxious about the just what information has been stolen, and how it might be used in the future.
“In this instance, the concern around whether pictures have also been stolen and how they might be used is likely to cause untold stress, and it is absolutely imperative now that a full investigation is carried out as quickly as is possible to provide these victims and their families with some peace of mind.
“Meanwhile, we are carrying out our own investigations on behalf of our clients, and if the Transform Hospital Group failed to protect their patients’ information, then those affected will be entitled to bring legal proceedings against the company.
“There is a duty of care which the Group holds to ensure that patient information is kept strictly confidential, and it is quite clear that there has been a significant failing here.”
The Transform Hospital Group declined our request for comment.
