The Sinkhole in North End Road is Back

Traffic and buses diverted to due Thames Water repairs on southbound lane

The sinkhole in the road at the junction of North End Road and Dawes Road is back - and once again causing traffic delays and diversions.

The hole, on the southbound lane outside Holland and Barrett, means that North End Road has been closed to southbound traffic to allow urgent repairs south of the junction with Dawes Road.

Signed diversions are in place as below:

Dawes Road (west bound)>Munster Road (south bound )>Fulham Road (east bound) for all cars heading south on North End Road.

Dawes Road (east bound) > diverted North on North End Road > Lillie Road > Munster Road > Fulham Road.

Bus routes 28, 295 and 211 are also on diversion to avoid the roadworks.

H&F Council says: "We're currently working with @thameswater to get this fixed asap, but have no timescale for completing the works at the moment. We'll keep you updated."

The southbound lane reopened to traffic at the end of July after being closed throughout the summer for urgent repairs by Thames Water.
