A new Post Office is set to open in Fulham inside the Munster Convenience Store.

This is a relocation of the existing branch nearby on Fulham Palace Road and will mean the restoration of a full time service with the new counter being open for nearly 100 hours a week.

The new branch which will be at 306 Munster Road (SW6 6BH) and the shop will be renamed Munster Road Post Office.

It will open re-open on Friday 10 June at 1pm and will then have the opening hours of Monday – Saturday: 7am – 10pm; Sunday: 8am – 5pm.

A Post Office counter will be alongside the retail counter of the convenience store. The layout of the store is being adapted to accommodate the Post Office.

The Fulham Palace Road Post Office opened in 2014 at number 851 replacing the previous branch which, confusingly, was at number 815.

Samantha Coe, Post Office Network Provision Lead said, “We are delighted to soon be restoring a full-time Post Office to this area as we know how important a Post Office is. This full-time branch will be convenient for customers to visit.

“We are keen to restore this branch to the area as soon as possible, so we have decided to go ahead with our plans. “

The Post Office is inviting local people to give their views on services in the area which you can do by visiting the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk and entering the branch code 143006 before 9 June..
