An application has been submitted to Hammersmith & Fulham Council for the redevelopment of the site of the Boots pharmacy on North End Road.
The proposal is to develop the buildings at numbers 322-324 into a three-storey mixed use development with significantly reduced retail space. The application gives no indication that a Boots store would be retained at the site.
Over half the ground floor space is to converted into a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) to create accommodation for up to ten residents including a new basement area.
The first and second floors which are currently vacant but formerly contained a dental surgery would also be converted to residential and extended to incorporate an additional seven new flats.
The applicant states that the upper floors are in a semi-derelict state having suffered from water damage and some structural defects.
There would still be retail space at the ground floor level but with less than half the space there is currently and the applicant says this would be marketed to local businesses as opposed to being retained by Boots.
The application has been submitted by Interpolitan Ltd on behalf of Miraj Investments Ltd a property development company based in Colliers Wood.
In their planning statement they say, “The proposed development would not result in any unacceptable impacts or harm to character, appearance or setting of the conservation area or listed building, would improve the visual amenity of the immediate surroundings, and improve the quality offer of residential accommodation by providing 8x new dwellings of a good standard for the area.”

Boots did not respond for our request for comment on their plans in the area.
