What's On in Normand Park

Culture days, community gardening and table top sale

Fulham's busiest park has a packed schedule as we go into September. The very popular table top sale is back on Sunday August 30, from 9am till 4pm.

The sale raises fund for the Friends of Normand Park and local people can become traders by bringing a table and chair and joining in for £8. To find out more call Brenda Dunne on 07852 221993 or pick up a form from the park's cafe.

Normand Park's CultureFest is on Saturday September 5 from noon to 6pm, promising a fun day out for all the family including face painting and a bouncy castle, a dedicated youth area, a pamper tent offering tempting free treatements, a BBQ and lots of giveaways.

A week later, September 12 is the annual Disability Awareness Day. Everyone is invited to attend from noon till 6pm and enjoy entertainment and activities including nail art, a free raffle draw, face painting, bingo for over 18s, an art competitions, dry hair cuts & trims, live music, non contact boxing and information stalls.

Normand Park's gardening group meets every Wednesday from 4pm - 6pm in the Community Garden behind the the bowling green. The garden is free to join, children are welcome and small plots of land are available.

There are tools, gloves and some seeds to get newcomers started. The gardening group has been very popular and as you can see, is having spectacular results!

Normand Park would like to hear from local people to run future activities in the park, such as teaching yoga, gentle exercise, table tennis or something completely different! If you think you have something to offer, call Sarah on 020 8753 3226 or email normandpark@lbhf.gov.uk

The Friends of Normand Park now have their own Facebook site - to find it,  log onto Facebook and search for the name.
