Fulham FC invite football fans to pay their respects to legend

Fulham Football Club have laid a book of condolences at Haynes Place, Craven Cottage, to allow supporters to pay their personal tributes to Sir Bobby Robson, who died on Friday morning.

The club is inviting all football fans from the London area to pay their respects to Sir Bobby at Craven Cottage. The official condolence book can be signed in the Cottage Café on Haynes Place from today, Saturday August 1.

 

 

Fulham say the book will remain at Haynes Place for enough time to allow all football fans to pay their respects before the start of the 2009/10 Barclays Premier League season.

Sir Bobby, who was 76 and had fought a long battle with cancer, enjoyed two spells at Craven Cottage as a player, from 1950 to '56 and from 1962 until May '67, when he retired as a player. He also took charge of Fulham for 10 months early in his managerial career.

Despite his ill health, Sir Bobby was able to attend St. James’ Park in May to watch Fulham’s Premier League match with Newcastle United.
