Fire Damages House in Dancer Road

15 firefighters called to control blaze

Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Fulham, Hammersmith and Tooting fire stations converged on Dancer Road on the afternoon of Friday, August 21 after a house in the street caught fire.

The Fire Brigade was called at 4.47pm to the three storey house in Dancer Road, just off Fulham Road.

The fire was under control by 5.13pm, but around three quarters of the property was left badly damaged.

The Fire Brigade says that a person left the house before the firefighters arrived and was treated by London Ambulance Service crews. Local witnesses have confirmed that no one was seriously hurt.

All the homes in Dancer Road are terraced, and the fire could easily have spread if the Fire Brigade had not acted so promptly.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
