New Farmers' Market Opens in Fulham

Wide range of produce for sale on Sunday

Fulham's new weekly Farmer's Market will launch this Sunday, September 25 at 10am at New Kings Junior School in New Kings's Road.

Farms at the market will include SJ Taylor free range veal, Chegworth Valley juice and fruit, and south coast fisherman Danny Taylor.

There will be a range of produce including freshly pressed juice, organic & outdoor reared meat, new season game, dairy, plants & flowers, hand made preserves, raspberries, new season apples and pears, herbs, wet fish and shellfish, free range eggs, and the freshest vegetables and salads.

London Farmers’ Markets, who are behind the launch say that stall holders all farm within 100 miles of the capital and each one is visited before they are allowed to sell their produce.

Secondary producers such as jam makers have to use a minimum of 50% local ingredients and bakers are asked to use seasonal ingredients and free range/organic eggs.

LFM also says all markets are Certified by FARMA - the National Farmers' Retail and Markets Association - so customers know they’re bona fide.

Cheryl Cohen from London Farmers’ Markets says: " We’re delighted to be welcomed to Parsons Green, and to be supported by New Kings Primary School in this venture. We look forward to bringing a new community venture into the neighbourhood, and welcome the opportunity to make new friends."

The market will take place every Sunday from 10am – 2pm at New Kings School, by the junction of Cristowe Road.
