Update: Teen Stabbed on Eel Brook Common Now Stable in Hospital


Two 14 year-olds and a 15 year-old released on bail

The teenager, who was taken by hospital by ambulance after the attack on Friday afternoon was initially said to be in a critical condition, but police are reporting he is now stable.

Detectives are still appealing for witnesses who may have information about the attack, which took place at around 3.50 pm on Friday afternoon.

The boy was playing football in the caged pitch at the north end of the common when the attack began.

Police say: "It appears the victim and his friends were playing football, when they were approached by a number of youths. Following a verbal altercation and a minor scuffle, the victim and friends decided to leave.

"However they were followed and attacked, and the victim suffered stab wounds."

The stabbing took place at the edge of Eel Brook Common, close to New Kings Road and Musgrave Crescent.

Police subsequently arrested two 14 year-old boys and a 15 year-old male in connection with the attack. They have now been released on bail pending further enquiries.
