Moped riding criminals arrested in Fulham

Phillip Roberts, aged 31, of Munster Road in Fulham and Naazish Ilyas, aged 19 Westminster Magistrates' Court on, Saturday 8 June, and were both remanded. They will next appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 5 July.

The conspiracy relates to 19 offences allegedly committed on various dates between 14 February and 5 June this year of moped-enabled theft from vehicles.

The pair were arrested by officers from Operation Venice, which tackles moped-enabled crime.

They are alleged to have used a stolen moped displaying stolen vehicle registration plates to ride up to high value vehicles, smash the windows and steal costly items including laptops.

The offences were committed across several boroughs including Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.
