Man Sought in Connection with Fulham ‘Acid Attack’

Police have released a photo of a Fulham man they want to speak to in connection with an attack using a noxious substance that took place on Waterford Road on New Year’s Eve.

Ameer Makame, aged 26, is being sought by detectives after two people were injured.

The attack took place shortly before 2.45pm on Sunday, 31 December. When police arrived at the scene they found a 41-year-old man with facial burn injuries. He was taken to hospital although his injures are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing. Another man aged 24 who was also injured fled to an address in Wandsworth where was later treated by paramedics.

The two men were sitting in a vehicle when two people on a moped approached them and sprayed them with a substance that later analysis showed to be ammonia.
