Image Released of Man Suspected of Assault in Fulham Bar

Police say CCTV showed unprovoked attack in Kona Kai

Detectives from Hammersmith and Fulham have released an image of a man they would like to question in connection with an assault.

On Sunday, May 17, a 27 year-old man was out with friends celebrating a birthday at the Kona Kai Bar on Fulham Road, SW6.

He left the bar at about 1.20am, but was then attacked outside and knocked unconscious.

DC Imran Khan, from Hammersmith and Fulham CID, says: "The victim was knocked unconscious by his attacker after accidently bumping into another male as he was leaving the bar.

" The victim is seen on CCTV footage being punched without provocation by his assailant, who then runs off into Britannia Road. The victim is left injured and unconscious in the road.”

"As a result of the attack the victim sustained broken bones to his face and eye socket. He had to have surgery as a result of the injuries and now has a metal plate in his face and nerve damage.

" This attack appears to have been unprovoked attack and has left this man with severe injuries. I am appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time, or who recognises the suspect, to contact police."
