Man arrested after reports of gunmen entering local house
A man has been arrested and a Fulham street sealed off by armed police after two men with guns were reported to be entering a local house.
Police sealed off Atalanta Street, off Fulham Palace Road, following reports that after two black men armed with a shotgun and a pistol were seen arriving at a terraced house at around 1.15pm.
Police say firearms units and police officers with dogs quickly sealed off the road, and one man was arrested at around 3pm on suspicion of alleged firearms offences. He was taken to a west London police station for questioning.
Atalanta Street has now been reopened by the police.
