All Change for Buses Serving Sands End

New 306 route connects south of Fulham to Shepherd's Bush and Acton

Fulham has a new bus service, the 306 route running from Sainsbury's in Sands End, through Fulham Broadway and West Kensington to Hammersmith Bus Station and on to Askew Road and Acton Vale.

The new service, which was announced by Transport for London in September, replaces parts of routes 391 and 266.

The 391 which used to run between Richmond and Sands End no longer serves Fulham, running only from Richmond to Hammersmith.

This means passengers wishing to continue to Richmond now have to swap buses at Hammersmith Bus Station, though as TfL point out, this does not cost them extra as the Hopper fare allows them to make a free further journey within an hour.

TfL says that the new service runs every 12 minutes on Monday to Saturday and every 20 minutes in the evenings and on Sunday, is part of its commitment to increasing outer London’s bus network.

Geoff Hobbs, Director of Public Service Planning at TfL, said: "We are committed to improving and growing the bus network in outer London and to help customers access local amenities more easily.

"The new 306 bus route is a really positive development for customers in west London, providing a new direct connection and additional capacity between Askew Road, West Kensington and Fulham."

New bus route 306

As the map, produced when route 306 was first proposed, shows, from Townmead Road the 306 will run on Imperial and Harwood Roads to Fulham Broadway, via North End Road and Hammersmith Broadway to Hammersmith Bus Station, then via King Street and Askew Road to Acton Vale.
