Good Progress Made Despite the Weather


Latest update on work at Bishops Park

The latest newsletter from Vinci Construction, the company working on the restoration of Bishops Park and the Grounds of Fulham Palace reports that though the weather has not been kind this summer, good progress is being maintained.

The newsletter, published on the Friends of Bishops Park's website says that the reinstallation of the ornamental lake edges are now complete, with the repairs to the asphalt nearing completion.

The Restoration of the terracotta perimeter walls is now progressing and the granite setts forming the fountain basins are due to commence. On the central core, the new soft
and hard ground surfaces seperating the individual
areas are now complete.

Childrens play equipment is commencing and excavations for
the new skate board bowl are complete and now await the specialist concrete finishing team. Railings and entrance gates to the entire area are now progressing around the perimeter. The boundary shrubs and planting schemes are progressing. The yorkstone seating bays have been repaired and we are now installing the new benches and litter bins across the park.

Repairs to the club house and cafe are also now nearly complete.

Bishops Park's Official Reopening will take place on October 29 at 3pm by the Bishop of London.
