Summertime play sessions for toddlers

A new group for children under five launches this week in the centre of Bishops Park.

From Monday, July 20 the group will gather in the rainbow on the river, the red and yellow playhouse next to the sand pit and padding pool.

There will be both morning and afternoon sessions under the supervision of a pre-school learning alliance play leader, though there is no obligation to stay for both.

Morning sessions are from 10am till noon and afternoons are from 1pm till 3pm, and include  water and sand play, table top activities, singing, playing with percussion instruments and story time. Each session costs  £2, and anyone who wants their child to join in can simply turn up on the day. Adults are also welcome to stay and make the tea!
