Woman Taken to St Mary's after Kings Road Crash

Cyclist was hit by HGV lorry at junction with Edith Grove

Horrified onlookers report seeing a female cyclist was pulled under a lorry at the junction of Kings's Road and Edith Grove, and on the London Fixed-Gear and Single-Speed Forums, a witness said: " Came across a nasty collision between a female cyclist and a HGV this morning. Bike was wrecked, looked like the rear wheel bore the brunt.

" Spoke briefly to one of the police officers at the scene who said it was a 'survivable accident'. Hope he was right and that whoever you are, you heal up soon."

An ambulance and air ambulance were sent to the scene at around 9.30am yesterday morning and an ambulance service spokesperson confirmed they treated a female cyclist in her thirties for pelvic injuries, after which she was sent as a priority to St Mary's Hospital.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
