Reports that girl cyclist was hit by HGV lorry at Edith Grove

The latest traffic report is as follows:

Urgent - Accidents. A3220 Edith Grove (One-Way) closed, severe delays due to accident investigation work between A308 Fulham Road and A3217 King's Road, congestion on Earls Court Road to Beyond A4, on A4 Eastbound to B317 (West Kensington), on A4 Westbound to Gloucester Road and on Fulham Road to North End Road.

Police directing traffic. Also affecting A3217 King's Road both ways between A3220 Edith Grove and Milman's Street Reported on 13/09/2012 10:01:14.

Reports on Twitter say that a girl cyclist was knocked down by a lorry, and on the London Fixed-Gear and Single-Speed Forums, a witness said: " Came across a nasty collision between a female cyclist and a HGV this morning. Bike was wrecked, looked like the rear wheel bore the brunt.

" Spoke briefly to one of the police officers at the scene who said it was a 'survivable accident'. Hope he was right and that whoever you are, you heal up soon."
