Mud's the Word!

Help clean up Fulham's foreshore

Don't mind getting muddy? Then join a community clean-up of the foreshore in front of Bishop's Park and Fulham Football Club on Saturday, June 27.

The clean-up is being organised jointly by the Palace Riverside Safer Neighbourhoods Team, who will have officers pitching in on the day, Fulham Football Club and Thames 21, the environmental charity dedicated to bringing our waterways to life.

Thames 21 say all you need to take part is lots of enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in muddy, plus some very old clothes. Welly boots, gloves and socks will be provided.

To take part, meet at the SW6 Lounge in Fulham Football Club from 12 noon, when refreshments will be provided.

A welcome talk and safety briefing by Thames 21 is at 12.30 pm and the big clean-up begins at 1pm and ends at 3pm. If you can attend, you are asked to inform the Safety Neighbourhoods Team by email at

PalaceRiverside.snt@met.police.uk . For more information call 07500 842283.
