Early Christmas treat for music fans on Monday

Cineworld in Fulham Road is offering an early Christmas treat for opera fans  by screening Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West on Monday December 6 at 7pm.

The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the renowned Carlo Rizzi, will perform Puccini’s crowd pleasing score in front of a highly skilled cast and beautifully re-imagined stage sets.

What’s more, says Cineworld, fans will be able to experience each note, chord and colour in pristine quality thanks to Cineworld’s state of the art digital picture and sound technology.

Nikolaus Lehnhoff’s innovative new production updates Puccini’s original Wild West story and transports it to a modern capitalist Wall Street setting. With love-triangles, a courageous heroine and atmospheric music, this opera has all the elements of a Hollywood blockbuster.
