Christmas Fun Begins at Fulham Broadway

Join the switch on party on November 23

Fulham's annual festivities will officially begin on Friday November 23 at the Broadway Shopping Centre.

Take That and Bee Gees tribute acts will entertain the crowds from 3.30pm till 6.30pm with the Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham, Cllr Belinda Donovan switching on the lights at 6pm. She will be accompanied by the borough's oldest resident, 102 year-old Lily Davies.

As well as performances from Take All That and Bootleg Bee Gees, there will be music from Fulham Cross Girls School Choir, Treblemakers Acapella singers and vocalist Shelle Luscombe.

There will also be children’s entertainment, balloon modelling, Santa’s Grotto and much more.

Cllr Donovan says: " I look forward to seeing as many people as possible on Friday November 23 for what is sure to be a wonderful afternoon and evening.

"There is lots of entertainment planned, including traditional family events and fantastic music so make sure you are a part of the action."

Local businesses will also be taking part in the very popular annual Odd Man Out Christmas competition in Fulham Road from December 1 to 21.

Local people take part by hunting for small household objects, that you wouldn't find normally in competition shop windows, for instance a tin of baked beans in a butcher's or a pair of glasses in a flower shop.

It sounds simple - but spotting every single one is trickier than you might think!

The winner will receive a hamper of over 20 fantastic prizes donated by participating businesses. You can pick up an entry form from participating Fulham Road businesses, from the Durell Arms at 704 Fulham Road.
