It's Strictly Christmas!

Dancing champ Karen Hardy will switch on Fulham's lights

Strictly Come Dancing champion Karen Hardy will switch on Fulham's Christmas lights on Friday December 4.

The festive fun will take place at Jerdan Place and St John's Church from 3.30pm and 7.30pm with the lights being officially turned on at 6pm.

Entertainment will be provided by Abbalicious, the UK’s best Abba Tribute band, and Fulham Rock Choir.

Cllr Frances Stainton, cabinet member for parks, culture and heritage, will open the event and introduce Karen Hardy, who has a dance studio in riverside development Imperial Wharf.

Cllr Stainton says: " We know it will be a wonderful afternoon. Come and enjoy everything from family events to our new special features this year."

Those features include a Christmas gift market and food hall featuring local restaurant and deli goodies, home baked cakes, mulled wine, cards, gifts, accessories, pottery, jewellery, art and much more.

In addition, visit Santa’s Grotto, enjoy Fulham Brass Band and join in with carol singing with Fulham’s Choral Society under the Christmas tree, which is sponsored by Quadron Services.

If you are interested in hiring a stall at the Christmas market please call 07947 376194 and speak to Jenny, who is looking for local artists, crafts people, food & gift businesses.

Stalls cost just £15 and all proceeds go to the St John's Church restoration fund.
