Christmas Celebrations in Fulham Begin this Weekend


With festive market, carol singing and Christmas lights switch-on

Fulham's Christmas celebrations get officially underway on Saturday 3 December, with a festive traffic-free market in North End Road, Christmas lights switch-on and traditional tree lit up on Jerdan Place opposite St John's Church.

The Christmas market, running from 9am till 5pm once again offering stalls on both sides of the road packed with gifts, food and entertainment is the first of a host of seasonal celebrations across SW6.

The market will have 160 stalls plus live music and a visit from Santa. And at 4.30pm, Georgia Toffolo, star of television show Made in Chelsea, will be switching on the street’s Christmas lights.

Also on Saturday,  children from Fulham music school Music’all will perform a new song Brand New Day (Peace on Earth),at the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Christmas Party at 11.30am and sing Christmas carols around Parsons Green between 5pm and 6pm.

The Addison Singers jazz choir and ensemble will perform a jazz concert at St Andre's Church on Saturday evening and sing carols at a free event at Fulham Palace, on Sunday 4 December. There will be two performances at 3.30pm-4pm and 4.30pm-5pm. Find out more here.

On Sunday 4 December, Fulham Camerata is kicking off its own festive concerts at its home church of Holy Cross Church in Fulham at 7pm. The programme this year features some beautiful carols from Russia, Spain, Germany and the United States among others. This is not a ticketed event, so just come along and help support nominated charity, Caritas.

Fulham Camerata will also cross the river on 8 December supporting the work of Paul’s Cancer Support Centre and will be performing at their charity concert at St Mary’s Church, Putney Bridge at 7:00pm.  Purchase tickets in advance here and support their important work.

Fulham Camerata is also joining forces with Fulham Symphony Orchestra on Saturday night, 3 December to present a complete performance of Tchaikovsky’s magical ballet score at St John’s Smith Square. Find out more and book tickets here.
