Chelsea & Westminster Friends Announce Launch of New Wellness Centre

Offering hairdressing, manicure/pedicure and massage with discount for staff and patients

The Friends of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital say they are delighted to announce the opening of a new Wellness Centre today, 1 November.

The centre, on the site of the old hairdressing salon on the site of the old hairdresser (second floor, by lift D)  now offers a wider range of services.

The Centre offers hairdressing for ladies, gentlemen and children, a range of manicures and pedicures, threading and chair massage, with a 15% discount on all services for staff and patients.

It also offers a special bed space service to patients including discounted head, hand and foot massages and manicure.

It is open from 10am till 5pm Monday to Friday, by appointment only. You can make a booking by calling 0208 321 6452 (internal 726452) or 0208 321 5240 (internal 725240) or emailing wellness@chelwest.nhs.uk.

The Friends of Chelsea & Westminster also have their own shop on the ground floor and volunteers provide valuable shop and library trolley services to patients each morning and afternoon.

Events include Book and Bric à Brac Sales on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10am till 1pm
on the ground floor, near the escalators. The items for sale are donated from many different sources including former patients, friendly publishers, local businesses, and generous local residents. Prices low and all profits go to the Friends to fund our various projects.

Book sales are held every Friday morning and every other Wednesday, with bric à brac on alternating Wednesdays.  Find out more in the Events Calendar which also lists regular sales by a range of other companies offering items such as jewellery, perfume and linens.
