Chelsea and Westminster DJ Wins National Award


Alex Baker shortlisted for Male Presenter of the Year

Alex Baker, star DJ on hospital radio station Radio Chelsea and Westminster has won a national award.

Alex was shortlisted in the Male Presenter of the Year category of the National Hospital Radio Awards, and won a Silver Award in this category.

As well as being a familiar voice to patients, Alex has also become a familiar face to viewers of the recent BBC documentary  Junior Doctors: Your Life in Their Hands as he was featured interviewing many of the junior doctors on the programme.

Alex will also be the compere at the awards evening for the inaugural Chelsea and Westminster Star Awards which will be held at Chelsea Football Club on May 14.

These awards are intended to highlight outstanding individuals and teams make the greatest difference to Chelsea and Westminster's patients and hospital.

Almost 800 nominations were received from staff and patients and the shortlist of possible winners was announced this week. All staff shortlisted for the inaugural Star Awards will be invited to the awards evening, which has been made possible by a grant from Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity.
