Chelsea and Westminster Holds Twitter Evening

Catch live tweets from A&E on Saturday night

If you are enjoying the new series of Junior Doctors, following the lives of eight young doctors working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, you can get even closer to the action on Saturday February 4, when the hospital is holding a Twitter evening.

The hospital says: " We will be tweeting live from A&E this Saturday night. You can join the conversation this Saturday 4 February from 8pm–1am on Twitter.

"The aim of the event is to raise awareness about what happens in A&E on a busy evening. Saturday nights are traditionally busy and many people arrive in A&E with alcohol-related injuries."

Dr Patrick Roberts (Lead Clinician for A&E) says: " I accept that drinking is one outlet for releasing stress. However, I encourage people to understand their limits and know when they should stop."

The latest statistics from the NHS Information Centre show that there are more than 1 million alcohol-related admissions to hospital each year.

The hospital is encouraging local people not just to listen but also to join in the chat on Twitter - and even give their views on the Junior Doctors' performances on the TV show.

Junior Doctors is broadcast on Tuesdays at 9pm on BBC Three.
