Enjoy Edwyn's Wildlffe Drawings

Pop star's free exhibition at Chelsea and Westminster

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital's Gallery, on the 1st Floor Atrium, is hosting a free exhibition of remarkable wildlife drawings by pop star Edwyn Collins.

After suffering a life-threatening brain haemorrhage in 2005, Edwyn - who had major success in the 1980s with his band Orange Juice before going solo - spent time learning to draw again as part of his rehabilitation.

Rediscovering his love of art and childhood fascination with ornithology, Edinburgh born Edwyn has drawn a bird every day, titled and dated, mapping his recovery.

This series of drawings, called New Wildlife Drawings illustrates the journey Edwyn has taken over the past few years as he has slowly fought back his way back to health. He has now returned to performing and his wife, Grave Maxwell has written a book about his recovery called Falling and Laughing.

The exhibition will run until March 26.
