Celebrating Fulham is Back from June 28


Promising a packed week of activity for all ages

Here are some of the highlights to look foward to:

Rocking West Ken - Saturday, June 28
The Famous Three Kings pub on North End Road had a fabulous 1970s.
From 1975 to 1980, the Famous Three Kings pub in North End Road was known as the Nashville, hosting country music before it ended up as the Sex Pistols’ living room. This walking tour celebrates the Nashville as well as other aspects of West Ken’s musical past. Led by Blue Badge guide Simon Rodway, the free tour sets off from Barons Court Station at 2pm. Open Studio Ceramics and Paintings - Sunday, June 29
Local artists Hazel Leach and Russell Mack will be showing and selling their recent work between 11am and 5pm at 136 Bronsart Road, SW6 6AB. Call 020 7385 6017 for more information.

Shakespeare’s Greatest Hits - Tuesday, July 1
2014 is William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday and this Greatest Hits event aims to celebrate the Bard's plays and sonnets in one go. Taking place at All Saints Church Fulham at 7.30pm, tickets can be bought on the door for £10. Learn more by calling 020 7731 6544 or visiting www.lancepierson.org

English beer masterclass - Wednesday, July 2
Throughout the week, Whole Foods in Fulham Broadway is staging a variety of events in its community room. On the Wednesday customers can sample 10 selected English beers that have been paired with olives, cheeses and charcuterie. Running from 6pm to 7.30pm, entry costs £10. Singing Taster Class - Thursday, July 3
Whether you’re a singing enthusiast just starting out, or a vocalist or professional singer looking to sharpen your techniques, these singing classes could be for you. The first class at the Dance Attic Studios (Ballroom), in North End Road, will run from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and the second will take place between 7.30pm and 8.30pm. A class costs £5. Broadway London Independence Day Party - Friday, July 4
Coco London in collaboration with Broadway House Members Club are staging an evening celebrating American Independence Day in Mad Men style. The drinks, the decor, the music, the dance - all of it will take you right into the sets of Mad Men but with a twist of American patriotism. Fair on the Green - Saturday, July 5
A day out for all the family with two live stages of music and entertainment, more than 100 stalls, a food court, bouncy castles, Punch and Judy, carousels, magicians, climbing frame, fun fair, and much more. George’s Marvellous Medicine - Sunday, July 6
Bring the whole family to this celebration of Roald Dahl’s classic books, with plenty of opportunities to join in. Taking place at the Outdoor Theatre, in the Fulham Palace Walled Garden in Bishop’s Avenue, gates open at 2pm for a 2.30pm start. Adult entry costs £12, children £8 and under 3s £2.
