72 girls from all four local packs enjoy disco at All Saints Church Hall
72 Brownies and their leaders from all four Brownie packs in the Fulham Division - 25th All Saints, 7th St Ethelreda's, 6th St Clements and 21st St Dionis - have come together for a disco to celebrate 100 years of the Brownies.
The event was held at All Saints Church Hall led magnificently by former Brownie, Charlie, from Popstarz. It was all action packed with dance routines to party favourites & chart hits with a mix of fun party games, competitions and karaoke amid the disco lights.
Vicar of All Saints, the Reverend Canon Joe Hawes popped in to see all the fun and LNW County Commissioner, Mary Caven, also joined in the lcelebrations.
A fabulous cake made by local resident Sarah Jones, herself a former Brownie, topped off the evening. As the Brownies sang Happy Birthday, one of the eldest Brownies present - Iona Townsend aged 10 from All Saints and one of the youngest Lara Putt aged 7 from St Ethelreda's cut the cake.
Cartons of fruit juice for refreshments were kindly donated by Waitrose in Putney and all the Brownies and grown ups present had great fun.
Claire Shirley, Brown Owl of the All Saints pack, says: "It was great to see all the local Brownies coming together in one place and mixing with each other and making new friends. There was such a buzz.
"The Brownies themselves chose a disco to mark the celebrations and it proved to be a perfect choice! Role on the next 100 years!".
