Enjoy free attractions and refreshments and tour catacombs
The summer's strangest day out is here again as The Friends of Brompton Cemetery hold their annual Open Day on Sunday, July 19 from 11am till 5pm.
The open day offers a variety of introductory and themed tours, plus a rare opportunity to visit the cemetery's catacombs.
There are also many free attractions, including Heatherley's art exhibition, stalls selling refreshments, crafts, souvenirs and publications from other Friends groups plus family fun and face painting for the kids.
Cemetery tours are every hour from noon, lasting one hour 15 minutes and costin £5 while catacomb tours, lasting 25 minutes are every half hour from 11.30am, with tickets priced £3. Children under 12 are not admitted.
