Richard Scott explains: " We are a voluntary group working to promote, research, record, preserve and enhance the Borough’s historic environment. " This includes not only historic buildings and structures, but also open spaces, parks and gardens, landscape and views, waterways and the public realm - things like signage, street furniture and materials. " We work closely with the Council on planning policy and proposals and are also members of The London Forum. We have about 140 individual members, with some Groups too, including civic societies and residents associations. " Recent local successes include the Listing of the Temperance Billiard Hall in Fulham High Street and the restoration of the Granville Sharp tomb in All Saints Churchyard. And we organise walks and visits..our first Treasure Hunt was around Old Fulham in 2007." Richard adds that the group is always looking for support from new members, either through subscriptions - £5 a year for individuals and £15 for groups - and/or practical help.
