Breast Cancer Haven opens doors to public

Breast Cancer Haven, in Effie Road close to Fulham

Broadway, are holding a number of seminars throughout

June which are open to anyone interested in general health and well-being as well as those affected by cancer.

The seminars are on:

3rd June, 2.30pm - 4.30pm (£15) Learn to make green juices and smoothies: fresh green vegetables have cooling and calming properties on body and mind, alleviating symptoms

like hot flushes, nausea, cravings and stress.

Friday 5th June 10am - 1pm (£20) Life Work Coaching: A chance to focus and reflect on priorities, goals and work related issues.

Monday 8th June 10.30am - 4pm (£40) Learn the Essence of Healing: A wonderful day to learn the little known but

powerful and gentle healing movements of Tai Chi Shibashi.

Tuesday 9th June 11.30am - 1pm (£10) Healthy Fast Food for Women: Cookery tips and techniques for nourishing fast food to help manage menopausal symptoms, immunity, improved energy and well-being.

Friday 12th June 2pm - 3.30pm (£25) Visualisation & Healing for Health: A healing session with a world renowned, scientifically tested and exceptional healer. You will participate in a powerful group healing and learn self-healing techniques.

Monday 15th June 10am - 12pm (free) Natural Skin Care Workshop: Hear the benefits of truly natural skincare and receive free samples.

Monday 22nd June 10.30am - 1.30pm (£20) Qi Gong: These simple and effortless ancient Chinese movements can improve mobility, posture, energy and circulation as well as calming the mind.

Wednesday 24th June 2pm - 3.30pm (£10) Body Image, Intimacy & Sexuality: Discuss these difficult and sensitive subjects with others going through similar experiences from breast or other cancers.

Wednesday 24th June 2pm - 5pm (£20) Emotional Freedom Technique: EFT, also known as emotional acupuncture, is an effective self-help tool involving gentle tapping on specific acupuncture points to help with any physical or emotional symptoms e.g. fear, trauma, pain and hot flushes.

Thursday 25th June 5.30pm - 8pm (£20) Moving on after cancer or another serious illness: A discussion group for people who have completed medical treatments. The group explores what surviving cancer or recovering from a serious illness means, learning to live well, moving forward and continuing personal growth.

Breast Cancer Haven is a charity based in Fulham and is a day centre which provides free support, information and complementary therapies to anyone affected by breast cancer. Visitors can benefit from the expertise of specialist nurses and therapists and also from meeting others going through a similar experience.
