Fulham Broadway workers will break into dance
Workers in Fulham Broadway's shops and restaurants will
abandon their posts at 11am on Red Nose Day, Friday
March 13 to take part in a mass dance in the shopping
centre's entrance hall.
The dance is inspired by T-Mobile's famous Dance advert, which was shot in Liverpool Street Station and showed
commuters' spontaneous reactions to 350 dancers going through a range of routines.
The dance is just part of the fund-raising fun taking place on Red Nose Day.
Sainsbury's, one of the sponsors of Red Nose Day, has a programme of events at its Broadway branch, including a raffle for shoppers with a top prize of a signed shirt from Chelsea FC.
Manager Rob Powderham and Deputy Manager Steve Lindley are promising to dress up in drag and have their legs waxed in public, while other members of staff will be sitting in a bath of tomatoes or dressing up in fancy dress costumes including clowns, cowboys and a two person team dressing as bacon and egg!
Sainsbury's in Townmead Road will also have its own day of fun, with brave manager John Stanton volunteering to have his legs waxed and a karaoke session which shoppers will be invited to join in.
