Tickets on sale now for Celebrity Soccer Six

Stars play for Samaritans charity at Chelsea Football Club

A limited number of tickets are now available for the Celebrity Soccer Six Tournament which comes to Stamford Bridge on May 24.

This is the second time Chelsea has hosted this hugely popular football event, held to raise money for the Samaritans.

Competitors already in training for year's six-a-side tournament are The Hoosiers, The View, Babyshambles and X Factor finalists JLS, including Fulham's own Oritse Williams.

Many more big names are expected to sign up before the competition kicks off on Sunday May 24, with all funds raised going toward the Samaritans.

Claire Duncan from Samaritans, says: “This is the fifth year running that we have been selected as Celebrity Soccer Six’s charity of the year. We are hoping for a sell-out event at Stamford Bridge to enable us to raise funds to keep our emotional support service running 24 hours a day."

Current champions of Soccer Six are The Sun, who will be entering another celebrity team after seeing off competition from McFly, Omid Djalili, Noel Fielding and comedian Russell Howard in the 2008 tournament while Amy Winehouse cheered from the stands.

Mark Abery, Soccer Six founder, says: “Soccer Six is a wonderful day for everyone involved and this year promises to be the best yet. We have a knock-out list of celebrities lined up for the bank holiday battle including some past Chelsea legends. This is Soccer Six’s spiritual home and we’re all very excited to be back.

"To mark this historic occasion we’ll be inviting back all our previous champions and biggest names to compete for this year’s title”

Tickets for this unique afternoon, a great day out for all the family, cost £12 for adults and £10 for juniors.
