Open Air Theatre
Sunday July 31, 2.30pm (gates open 2pm)
Pirates of Penzance presented by Illyria
Illyria delivers yet another first for the UK open-air touring theatre circuit: Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular comic opera about an apprentice pirate, born on February 29, who learns he is contracted to the pirates until his 21st BIRTHDAY, not his 21st year!

The show is packed with laughter, romance and a galleon-full of memorable lyrics such as "To be a Pirate King!"; "Modern Major General" and "A Policeman's Lot is Not a Happy One".

This wonderful classic gets the complete Illyria treatment, faithfully performed by a reduced cast and accompanied by a Musical Director on keyboard and actor/musicians on various instruments

£15, suitable for all aged 5 plus, under 5’s £7.50.

N.B. though children may attend under supervision this is not a children’s production.

Open Air Theatre
Sunday August21, 2.30pm (gates open 2pm)
Twelfth Night presented by Illyria
Following a shipwreck, Viola is washed ashore in Illyria, a country where everything is illogical, delirious, and completely topsy turvy. To protect herself she adopts a male disguise. But what use are disguises when Lady Olivia falls madly in love with her, and she herself falls in love with Count Orsino? It could all end in tears - even if most of them are of laughter.

Illyria presents an afternoon of romance, music and sheer and utter joy, performed on a stage exactly the same as those used by mediaeval touring-troupes.

£12, suitable for all aged 5 plus, tickets for under 5’s £7.50.

N.B. though children may attend under supervision this is not a children’s production.
Please bring your own seating (low backed chair or picnic rug) and clothing appropriate for the weather.
