Al Muntada Trust Presents Charity Cheque to Mayor

Parsons Green charity raises funds for Maggie's and Lupus UK

The Al Muntada Trust, the charity which runs the Islamic Centre in Bridges Place, Parsons Green has presented Hammersmith and Fulham Mayor Mercy Umeh with a cheque for £1000 for her 2014/2015 Mayor's Appeal.

Mercy's chosen charities, which she is supporting throughout her year as Mayor, are Maggie's Cancer Care Centre and Lupus UK.

Al Muntada Trust, which runs the Islamic Centre in Parsons Green, supports both its local community and overseas aid programmes via its partner organisations.

Al Muntada Trust’s Trustee, Mr Abdul Hakeem Montague, who presented the Mayor with the donation said: " Al Muntada Trust feel that both Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre and Lupus UK are very special charities which deserve our help and support. They both do much needed and wonderful work at both a local and national level. We feel that it is our civic responsibility to serve the local and wider community."
