CLOSURE OF HYDROTHERAPY UNIT AT CHARING X
I have Parkinsons and last week had a back operation. Parkinson's UK, neurospecialist, my GP and his colleagues and anyone with knowledge of Parkinsons will tell you that physiotherapy is a key part of the treatment, hydrotherapy especially. After my back operation I was told that there is no physiotherapy available and why could I not pay for it myself. And now I am supposed to believe that there is not sufficient call for the hydrotherapy pool? This is blatant massaging of statistics. You could fill the pool 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Is there no demand because no service is offered perhaps? I really was incredulous when told, after the laminectomy, that no aftercare was available.Shocking.
