Planned extension of Sands End Traffic scheme

I've been told that the council have already drawn up plans for an extension of the Sands End traffic scheme in the direction of Wandsworth Bridge Road. Does anybody have more details of what is planned and when this might be implemented?

I am amazed that the Residents of Wandsworth Bridge Road are not up in arms about all this additional traffic being forced to use their road.  The terrible stop start traffic must creating really bad pollution and noise  The council claim that this will improve the fluidity of the traffic flow.     They could improve the Junction with the News Kings road   with it's totally stupid box junction  so that traffic could exit WBR more easily.
