'Stop The Towers' objectors say proposed skyscrapers are totally inappropriate

Campaigners who are objecting to proposals to build two massive tower blocks in West Ealing have released a series of images to show how the buildings would impact on the area.

The images of the Manor Road scheme are drawn to scale based on dimenshions provided by TVMH. A2Dominion didn't provide dimensins so the Hastings Road development is based on heights given at the consultation event.

Chair of the Draytons Community Association, Dr Gerald Power explained the move, ‘Plans for a 26 storey tower on Manor Road have been developed separately from a proposed 25 storey tower just over the road on Hastings Road. The developers – Southern Grove/Thames Valley Metropolitan for Manor Road, and A2Dominion for Hastings Road - denied any knowledge of the other’s plans, and as yet, have not provided local people with a view of the combined impact. That’s where we come in.

‘Our images paint quite a different picture from those shown at the consultation events, which contained only one tower, and mostly from street level. We want local people to see what’s actually in store for them, if the developers get their way.

‘Stop the Towers are now waiting for Ealing Council to open both applications for public consultation, and have over 1000 local residents standing by to tell them exactly what they think of these monstrous proposals.''
