Ealing Today has been contacted by a resident trying to discover where a local war memorial stone has gone.

Several years agon Simon Scott Homes redeveloped the old Ealing College at 83, The Avenue, with five new homes.

During the demolition process they discovered a memorial to students from Ealing College Upper School -who had died serving in World War Two.

This War Memorial was unveiled in a moving service of blessing, with members of St Benedict's army cadets taking part. Approximately a month ago the Memorial's stone plaque was removed, and then in recent weeks, the brick plinth broken up and taken away.

Local resident, Richard Mutton is hoping someone can shed light on where the memorial has been relocated.

We have contacted the developers and are awaiting reply.
